      As a Barclays Internal Audit Global Markets VP, you will perform and lead assurance reviews over the effectiveness of the technology controls related to the Markets and Wholesale Banking businesses. You will provide technical insight and a detailed understanding of risks on business areas. As a senior member in the team, the role will work closely with the Director / MD to manage the Global Markets Technology Audit portfolio.

      What will you be doing?

      • Collaborating and supporting the Director and Portfolio Manager to design an appropriate coverage strategy and audit plan
      • Managing, guiding, reviewing and approving work carried out on audit assignments to ensure the scope of work is appropriate
      • Leading global Markets Technology audits
      • Defining audit strategy with the help of the Markets Technology team and executing audit work to ensure that relevant risks and controls have been identified
      • Supporting the team in the execution of Markets and Wholesale Banking audits
      • Engaging closely and own the relationships with key business stakeholders
      • Reviewing and completing processes and documentation of scoping, risk & control identification, control evaluating on and observations in BIA audit toolkit
      • Writing high quality audit observations and report

      What we’re looking for:

      • Extensive experience in risk-based technology auditing, preferably within Financial services
      • Excellent communication with proven experience in developing and maintaining relationship with senior executive management
      • Proven ability to deliver timely high quality analytical work in a relatively unsupervised environment
      • Technical and management experience covering technology

      Skills that will help you in the role:

      • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CISA, CISSP, CRISC, TOGAF or other relevant technical qualification; and graduate degree)
      • Financial services and/or Markets knowledge is desirable
      • Exposure to and background knowledge of IT Applications and Architecture
      • Programme /Project delivery experience (including: agile, waterfall and SDLC) or exposure to auditing major programmes and projects.

      Where will you be working?

      You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
