      We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced communicator to support the Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries (MMBSI) business, which serves companies from startups to midsize businesses across dozens of industries. This role will primarily support our Specialized Industries (e.g.) business, which serves companies from a variety of industries, including Healthcare, Higher Education, Not-For-Profit, Government Banking, etc.; and our Innovation Economy business, which serves companies and investors in the Technology, Disruptive Commerce & Internet, Life Sciences and HealthTech and Green Economy sectors.

      As a Communications Manager, you will support MMBSI’s head of specialized industries and innovation economy and work with other senior leaders, bankers and cross-functional partners including Product, Marketing, Digital and Content to develop and implement a high impact communications programs that supports the business’s strategic priorities. You should be a phenomenal writer who understands financial services and can write in the voice of a senior executive. You should also be an organized, proactive and thoughtful professional who can plan and execute with precision to make the most out of every engagement and activity. Lastly, you will need to think creatively about how to engage with thousands of employees using various channels and mediums.

      Job Responsibilities

      • Manage an internal communications and employee engagement strategy for JPMorgan Chase Commercial Banking’s Specialized Industries and Innovation Economy businesses, including town halls and employee events, executive messages, internal newsletters, recognition opportunities, talking points and editorial stories.
      • Identify key milestones and examples to promote internally and externally to generate excitement and awareness and drive engagement.
      • Write, edit and maintain quality control of compelling stories and content.
      • Develop strong relationships with communicators across the firm and CB team, and with key partners including Business Management, Marketing, Content, Digital and Legal to collaborate effectively on executive communications, employee engagement, social media, content development, events, etc.
      • Research communications and engagement opportunities and understand the small and big details.
      • Understand both the firm’s and CB’s priorities.
      • Serve as an advisor to senior leaders across the business to anticipate and solve for communications needs.
      • Stay up to date on communications trends and industry news, contributing insights and helping to identify opportunities to drive greater impact through strategic communications while increasing efficiency and effectiveness.
      • Track and measure results to showcase business impact.

      Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

      • 8+ years of experience in corporate communications.
      • Strong knowledge of corporate internal and employee communications strategies, best practices, implementation and execution.
      • Passion and creativity for storytelling, with the ability to breakdown complex subjects for different audiences.
      • Outstanding writing and editing skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management.
      • Strong executive presence, judgement and ability to build trust with key partners and stakeholders and collaborate effectively.
      • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize high volume, high priority initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
      • Excellent attention to detail.
      • Analytical, strategic approach to problem solving and finding solutions.
      • Ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team, contributing on a strategic and tactical level.

      Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

      • Solid understanding of the financial services industry.
      • Comfortable navigating matrixed organizations.
      • Knowledge of Sharepoint and intranet technology.
      • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Additional software skills (e.g., Photoshop, HTML, Adobe Creative Suite) a plus.
      • Experience in public relations a plus.
