      JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

      The International Equipment Specialist will act as as International liaison between international and US based plants regarding all equipment. Makes sure each facility has the required functioning equipment it needs to facilitate it's processes. The individual will assist in educating individuals on correct and appropriate tools and machinery as well as providing needed quality measurements of machined parts. This position requires international travel to multiple facilities, including China and Brazil. This position will be visiting different locations 80% of the time, all work not spent onsite can be completed remotely from anywhere.

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES

      1. Provide plant support and training for operators of machine
      tools and maintenance personnel of procedures for
      maintenance of machine tools.

      2. Introduce and evaluate new machine tool technology.

      3. Coordinate projects with plant personnel, outside suppliers,
      Facilities Engineering to assure execution in accordance with
      schedules and budgets.

      4. Coordinate and schedule the maintenance of equipment and
      facilities to contribute to increased production efficiencies.

      5. Conduct studies to improve the efficiency in buildings,
      equipment, processes and methods.

      6. Investigate and recommend new processes, methods,
      equipment, and facilities to improve manufacturing operations
      and minimize costs.

      7. Recommend improvements for equipment reliability.

      8. Lead plant personnel & contractors in troubleshooting machine
      tool issues and determine solutions to address.

      JOB KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

      Requirements

      • Experience with selection, installation, and commissioning of machine tools
      • CNC machining (milling and turning) and CNC/PMC programming experience
      • CNC Turning Experience
      • Experience with cutting tool selection
      • Experience calculating speeds and feeds for machining processes
      • Advanced blueprint reading skills
      • Advanced machine tool and machining process troubleshooting skills
      • Supervisory experience in manufacturing
      • Experience with integration of advanced material delivery systems for machine tools (industrial robots)
      • Large parts machining experience andindustrial manufacturing experience
