Assist with the preparation of annual loan reviews and amendments
Assist with loan and related documentation review
Establish and maintain various databases designed to assist with both credit analysis/approval and new client/business development activities
Prepare pitch books to support new client business and for internal presentation purposes
Perform Ad hoc responsibilities to be determined on an ongoing basis.
Workplace: The work arrangement for the position is hybrid work #LI-Hybrid

A minimum of one year of relevant experience

Proven record of outstanding achievement in academic and extracurricular activities
Clearly defined interest in Corporate Banking and/or Financial analysis
Quantitative skills focused on financial analysis, accounting and financial theory

ST-99 Our Capital Markets Summer Analyst Program is a great way for current students or recent graduates to get a head start on their career, working for one of Canada’s largest financial services groups and North America's largest financial cooperative with over 400 billion dollars in assets. Desjardins Capital Markets is looking to recruit successful applicants into our Toronto office for our Corporate Banking business. The successful candidate will gain technical training and hands-on capital markets experience across a variety of transactions. This program provides the Corporate Banking Summer Analyst with the opportunity to enhance their professional profile by gaining insightful market knowledge, develop important industry contacts, and gain clarity on how Corporate Banking fits into the broader capital markets platform at Desjardins.
The Internship - Corporate Banking Summer Analyst position is designed to introduce undergraduates and/or recent graduates to the dynamic and challenging career of Corporate Banking, involving debt financed transactions with public and large private corporations across different industries. The successful candidate will enjoy exposure to a broad range of assignments encompassing credit and financial analysis through annual loan reviews, new credit applications and preparation of new debt financing proposals.General Information on the Position

You will receive end-of-summer reviews as well as constructive feedback from your business manager throughout your placement. You need to be confident in your personal capabilities but willing to learn and do what it takes to complete a task.
Each candidate will be evaluated on their individual merit. Academic background in business or finance is a prerequisite. Candidates must be recent graduates or entering the final year of their undergraduate program in the Fall of 2024. Most importantly, they must demonstrate a desire to learn and an eagerness to make a meaningful contribution to the team environment at Desjardins Capital Markets.
