  Would you like to contribute to generating scientific knowledge in dairy products? Can you see yourself doing a 5-month internship in the department of Food Sciences in our innovation center where you will develop your analytical and technical skills in dairy science?

  The project ‘Thermal characterization of dairy products by differential scanning calorimetry’ is aimed to understand how the composition of dairy matrices drive their thermo-physical properties. Arla will gain a better understanding of our product portfolio to develop improved products.

  About the project and your responsibilities

  • Pilot plant trials: you will learn how to design and carry out your own pilot scale trials to produce Arla cheese
  • Establish a protocol for the study of cheese by Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC)
  • Carry out DSC analysis of cheese samples and evaluate the effect of the composition

  What will make you successful?

  For you to perform well we see you as a independent individual who are curious. Furthermore you process the following qualifications:

  • You are an undergraduate student of programs such as Food Science and Technology, Dairy Science and Technology, Food Technology Engineering or similar.
  • You have time availability for 30 ECTS
  • You have wet lab experience
  • Desired but not mandatory experience in calorimetry methods
  • You are proficient in communicating in English (written and spoken)
