Applications are currently being accepted applications for paid or academic credit interns with specific technical skills. We are specifically seeking candidates with video editing and/or publishing/marketing experience. The start and end dates are flexible but will preferably begin in May 2025 and end in December 2025.
The Leadership Development Institute (LDI) provides support, training and mentoring to students, early-career professionals, and mid-career professionals who have an interest in or are pursuing careers in behavioral health. The LDI consists of programs that promote psychological science to bolster and enhance the behavioral health workforce.

We are in need of one year-round intern with experience and expertise to assist with editing videos and program content for distribution to internal and external partners. We are seeking an additional intern with experience and expertise in marketing and publishing materials. The marketing materials are intended for recruitment and outreach for the LDI programs. We encourage students with relevant majors and are in need of academic credits to apply. Interest and experience in psychology or behavioral health is not required.
Job Location - Remote: APA internships may be considered for remote work eligibility as defined in APA’s Flexible Work Policy and are subject to approval. Remote work interns may not work from the following states or U.S. territories: Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, U.S. Virgin Islands, Washington, Wyoming.
