Intern/working student (m/f/d) Launch Systems Engineering

The Launch Team is involved in every aspect of using our launch vehicle. The Launch Team develops all launch site infrastructure, from the pad to mission control and the integration facilities; operational campaign plans for the integration, testing, and launch of the vehicle; mission planning including customer relations, payload integration and, and mission design; operational safety of the vehicle and flight; flight licencing applications; and discussions with launch sites to find the right fit.

Your Tasks

• Discuss with the various project teams to set and define requirements for work packages, with limited initial inputs
• Clearly document work packages and requirements, according to company standards
• Design and analysis of major sub-systems of the launch site and vehicle interfaces (i.e. mechanical, fluidic, electrical systems)
• Contribute to the development of launch systems from concept to manufacturing (end-to-end)

Your Qualificatons

• Bachelor or master study in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical, Fluid Processes or Civil Fields or related discipline
• Demonstrated experience working with complex multidisciplinary projects (i.e. in student rocketry or automotive teams)
• Able to identify the big picture and the different levels of complexity of the launch site systems
• Capable of working independently, while prioritising various tasks
• Experience with P&IDs, KiCAD or programming skills (f.i. Excel VBA, Python, Matlab) are a plus
• Fluent in written and spoken English
