What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct complex and sensitive HR-related workplace investigations across various state agencies
- Review and assess predicate investigatory work performed by agency HR staff
- Provide testimony in arbitration or hearings to defend investigative findings
- Negotiate agreements as necessary during investigations
- Maintain strict confidentiality throughout the investigation process
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three years of professional-level experience in Human Resources
- Valid certification as a Professional in Human Resources or equivalent experience may substitute for required years of experience
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- High level of independence and ability to prioritize workload
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Demonstrated experience in planning and conducting HR-related workplace investigations
- In-depth knowledge of human resource principles and practices
- Strong ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Experience working in a governmental or public sector environment
