The Piper Sandler consumer investment banking team is one of the fastest growing and most active teams in the sector, with over 80 professionals globally. The team is a leading M&A advisor within the sector, having completed more than 80 consumer M&A transactions over the last three years.
We are currently looking for an analyst to join our growing consumer team in London.
Our analysts work closely with senior bankers to make a real impact on our clients’ business through involvement in all facets of investment banking activities including mergers and acquisitions, private placements, equity and debt offerings, and strategic advisory work.
Day-to-day responsibilities of a junior banker:
· Transaction execution:
o Support due diligence
o Assist in the preparation of client materials
o Manage legal negotiation of legal documents
o Liaise with relevant counterpart at the client / other advisers (accounting, legal, etc.)
· Build and maintain financial models; complete valuation and analytical exercises
· Gather and synthesise quantitative and qualitative data
· Create and maintain industry-specific business development materials
· Conduct industry and company-specific research
· Interact with senior stakeholders and clients

Basic Qualifications:
· Educated to degree level or equivalent (2:1 or above)
· Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
· Strong analytical and commercial orientation
Preferred Qualifications:
· Prior work experience in investment banking, corporate finance or related role (including internships)
· Strong technical and quantitative abilities, including accounting, finance, valuation, and business writing skills
· Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to build strong relationships and rapport
· Motivated, team player with a desire to work in a fast paced, challenging environment
· Ability to manage a variety of transactions and projects simultaneously
· A keen, long-term interest in investment banking
