They do this by combining their extensive market capabilities with their in-depth industry knowledge to help maximize shareholder value for our clients.

      Job Responsibilities

      Associates in the Consumer Group support new business development and investment banking engagements. Associates work on a variety of transactions that provide exposure to various investment banking services, including mergers and acquisitions, private placements of debt and equity, refinancings, and leveraged buyouts. You will:

      • Prepare, analyze, and help explain historical and projected financial information

      • Drive quantitative analyses – including valuation (LBO, DCF), brand and product sell-through (SPINS and Nielsen), transaction-level eCommerce data (Amazon and DTC)

      • Coordinate and perform business due diligence and execute M&A transactions

      • Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches, and other presentations

      • Assist in the marketing and planning of engagements

      • Build relationships and maintain direct contact with prospective clients and professional advisors

      Basic Qualifications

      • 3-4 years of investment banking or M&A experience, including at least 1 year as an associate, or relevant experience prior to an MBA with a minimum of 1 year of post-MBA investment banking experience

      Consumer Health Focus

      • Associates will be members of the Consumer Health practice within the broader Consumer Group

      • Consumer Health encompasses a wide range of products across VMS, OTC, and personal care

      • The team has an outstanding track record of advising disruptive health & wellness companies

      Preferred Qualifications and Attributes

      • Self-starter who is highly proactive and capable of driving workstreams as a key member of the deal team

      • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

      • Excellent communication and presentation abilities

      • Skilled at managing multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously

      • Focused on best practices in process, communication, and financial analysis

      • Strong understanding of accounting concepts

      • Extensive experience in financial modeling

      • Advanced in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

      • Capable of conducting thorough, independent research

      • Committed to developing junior bankers and focused on teaching and mentoring

      Compensation and Benefits

      Houlihan Lokey is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive total compensation package, which may include other components such as discretionary incentive compensation . The firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible salary range for this role at the time of posting is:

      $175,000.00-$225,000.00

      Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills, and experience and the location where this position may be filled.
