Department Overview:
The mission of the Information School (iSchool) is to educate responsible leaders, critical thinkers, and creative innovators in the information professions who are adept in the creation, retrieval, use, and curation of information in all its forms, who are able to provide access to and understanding of information for all those who need or seek it, and who contribute to individual and collective knowledge, productivity, and well-being;
create and disseminate research about past, present, and future information users and uses, the processes and technologies vital for information management and use, and the economies, cultures, and policies that affect information and access to it;

Must be a current graduate student.
Must have successfully taken the course or have knowledge of the subject.
Cannot be currently enrolled in the course.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Proficiency with SQL (joins, aggregations, window functions, CTE/subqueries) and core relational design (ER concepts, keys/relationships, normalization, integrity rules).
Familiarity with Google BigQuery (querying, execution details/bytes processed, basic optimization concepts).
Working understanding of NoSQL and modern data models covered in the course (document, graph/relationship queries, and vector/semantic search) sufficient to evaluate students’ design choices and query work.
Ability to assess documentation and evidence (README, data dictionary, validation checks, performance/cost rationale, retrieval examples).
Strong attention to detail, consistent rubric-based grading, and clear written feedback; reliable with deadlines.Position Summary/Job Duties:
Grade weekly labs/quizzes/exams (as assigned) and the two course projects using provided rubrics, including the relational project and the NoSQL/modern-model project (document, graph, and vector/semantic search components); provide timely written feedback in Canvas; track grades accurately; and flag potential academic integrity/AI policy concerns to the instructor for review.
