  The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is the nonprofit, applied research division of the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech).   Required Minimum Qualifications

  Intern

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information/Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, standards, guidelines, and principles
  • Interest in information/cyber security
  • Can communicate effectively and work independently
  • 2.0 or higher cumulative GPA
  • Must be registered for Full-time Internship Credit

  Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with networking, software development and/or information technology systems
  • Experience with cybersecurity tools such as: Splunk, CrowdStrike, Tenable.io, Axonious
  • Familiarity with industry-recognized security and analysis frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, NIST, etc.)

  Hours per Week

  40 hours per week

  U.S. Citizenship Requirements

  Due to our research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens.

  Clearance Type Required

  Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance.
