- Gathering and documenting business requirements, then translating and communicating the process to the Application Development team
- Providing technical/non-technical support for multiple systems and suggests process improvement
- Creating test plans and performing Internal Acceptance Test (IAT)
- Communicating with users from all organizational levels and technical proficiencies
- Facilitating User Acceptance Test (UAT)
- Conducting training
- Consult with functional unit management and personnel to identify, analyze, define and document business requirements related to the development of new systems, or changes to existing systems or business processes
- Translate business requirements into terms understandable by system developers and facilitate communication between both groups
- Serve as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements that meet the needs of the business
- Perform gap/fit analysis and/or buy verses build assessments to define the scope and estimated level of work for potential system development or modifications
- Facilitates User Acceptance Testing and assists stakeholders in their role as product owners
- Identifies and communicates organizational concerns/issues to stakeholders and helps recommend resolutions
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Experience in conducting gap analysis
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, then translating and communicating the departmental business requirements into system requirements
- Experience providing technical/non-technical support for multiple systems and suggests process improvement
- Business analyst experience in a large organization, preferably in a public sector environment
- Knowledge of fundamental computer concepts, networks and communications, operating systems, relational databases, the Internet, software programming concepts, customer relationship management and evaluating commercially available software solutions
- Ability to apply forward thinking
- Maintain high ethical standards
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Experience with SQL
- Knowledge of technical policies of criminal system such as Criminal Justice Information Services and policies around Personally Identifiable Information
- Familiarity with SharePoint
- Familiarity with Agile methodology
- Experience in leading projects
- Experience bridging the gap between non-technical and technical fields, including legal, investigatory, and administrative staff
- Experience/understanding of the Criminal Justice System
- Credentials such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Project Manager Professional (PMP)
IT BUSINESS ANALYST IISALARY INFORMATIONIn addition to performance-based merit increases, this position is scheduled to receive salary range increases on the following dates:Effective June 28, 2024 – 4.25% increaseEffective June 27, 2025 – 4.00% increaseSalary may be negotiable within the range listed above, based on position requirements and successful candidate's qualifications, subject to appropriate authorization.

The IT Business Analyst II performs professional duties pertaining to the identification of department business needs and the development of technology solutions and process improvements to resolve business problems. RECRUITMENT PROCESS
District Attorney Human Resources will screen all application materials to identify qualified applicants. After screening, qualified applicants will be referred to the next step and notified via email of their status in the process.Application Screening (Refer/Non-Refer)

Structured Oral Interview | SOI (Weighted 100%)
Applicants will be interviewed and rated by an oral interview panel of job knowledge experts. Each applicant's rating will be based on responses to a series of structured questions designed to elicit the applicant's qualifications for the job. Only the most successful candidates will be placed on the eligible list.
Eligible List: Once the assessment has been completed, District Attorney Human Resources will establish an eligible list of candidates. Candidates placed on the eligible list may be referred to a selection interview to be considered for present and future vacancies.
Based on the County's needs, the recruitment process listed above may be modified. All candidates will be notified of any changes in the recruitment process.
