    • Must coordinate with Chief Technology Officer and building principals to meet district objectives
    • Must address employee technology issues to ensure effective and long-term problem resolution
    • Must be able to work independently
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license for travel between school campuses
    • Install, configure, and maintain the district’s hardware and software systems
    • Load appropriate software packages, including operating systems, networking components, and office applications
    • Provide support to end users
    • Manage the IT Department’s work order ticketing system
    • Research, identify, and resolve technical problems
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • Two to three years of hardware experience
    • Knowledge of telecommunications setup and maintenance
    • Strong knowledge of PowerSchool
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Systems
    • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
    • Ability to learn and support new systems and applications
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Management: ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
    • Keen attention to detail
    • Commitment to education and district values
    • A basic understanding of high school curriculum and instruction
    • On-call availability and periodic overtime
    • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field
    • Experience working in a high school setting
    • A+ Certification
    • Physical demands: While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
    • Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
    • Full-time, 12-month work year;
    • Starting annual salary between $51,000 and $55,000;
    • Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) pension;
    • Paid 30-minute lunch and two paid 15-minute breaks;

      Position summary: Modify and repair hardware and software systems within the district.

      General purpose: Manage software applications; configure hardware.

      Role qualifications:
