What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design, develop, test, and implement computer systems and applications for the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA)
- Provide technical support and leadership to team members and evaluate new development tools
- Develop, test, and deploy application releases, updates, and modifications in a web application environment
- Maintain and update documentation and specifications of systems in accordance with agency processes and standards
- Collaborate directly with clients to gather business requirements and develop system-related documentation
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree with 21 semester credits in relevant fields such as computer science or information technology
- Two years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11
- Experience in designing, developing, and implementing web applications using ASP.NET
- Knowledge of SQL Server databases and web application development methodologies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate effective communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Model View Controller (MVC) and/or Entity Framework
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure DevOps or similar source control systems
- Background in system analysis and requirements gathering with clients
- Experience in application programming or as an information technology technician
- Previous work in a public service or governmental setting
