What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Monitor networks and IT assets for signs of cyber attacks and anomalies
- Analyze incidents to determine cause, scope, and impact to mitigate damage
- Identify and remediate vulnerabilities proactively to enhance security
- Control access to networks with varying threat levels to minimize successful attacks
- Protect sensitive information on devices interacting with untrusted networks
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Experience providing IT security support, including threat hunting and triage of security tickets
- Proficiency in technical support for Microsoft applications, including Microsoft 365 and Azure
- Experience with End Point Protection Next Gen or scripting
- Familiarity with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) logs
- Must reside and work in Wisconsin
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Additional experience in cyber security incident management or related fields
- Familiarity with best security practices in a government context
- Skills in advanced threat detection and response
