- Manage helpdesk tickets and alert notifications, including effective triaging and prioritization.
- Provide timely support to internal users for technical problems and service requests.
- Proactively identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Assist in the setup, monitoring, and support of security controls.
- Install and configure software for internal customers, primarily via remote access.
- Engage with the Security team on alerts, incidents, and user education.
- Configure and troubleshoot Windows 10 and 11 environments.
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, especially those within the E5 suite.
- Configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Office desktop and web applications.
- Manage day-to-day operations of various SaaS platforms (e.g., Atlassian Jira and Confluence, Lucidchart, GitHub as examples).
- Perform user provisioning and de-provisioning across SaaS and IaaS platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy in following and creating technical documentation and instructions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent communication skills, with the capability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Well organized, with strong project and time management skills.
- Ability to create and maintain IT documentation, reports and records such as systems inventories.
- Familiarity with IaaS / cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred but not essential.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Computer hardware
- Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems (Mac experience is somewhat desirable, Windows Server experience is somewhat desirable)
- Microsoft Office applications
- SaaS platform day to day operations management
- IT systems management best practice principles
- IT security principles and best practice controls
- Relevant technical certifications such as:
- CompTIA A+
- CompTIA Network+
- Microsoft Certified IT Professional
- Minimum of 3 years experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.

The IT Specialist is a crucial member of the Information Technology (IT) department responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the organization’s technological infrastructure. This role involves a diverse range of tasks, including hardware and software support, network administration, troubleshooting, system maintenance, and user assistance. The IT Specialist will collaborate with other IT professionals to provide technical solutions that enhance the organization’s overall performance and productivity.
