      IT Support Analyst

      Essity is a leading global hygiene and health company which develops, produces and sells Health & Medical, Consumer Tissue and Professional Hygiene products and solutions and has a strong global presence.

      We have an opportunity for an IT Support Analyst to join our GBS Workspace Services, IT Service Management & Operations team based in Pinetown, South Africa. We are looking for someone that is highly collaborative with strong problem solving, organizational and customer centric skills, passionate about what they do and has the ability to add value and walk the path in growing our business with us!

      About the Role

      The IT Support Analyst will be responsible to provide technical assistance and support to end-users, diagnose, troubleshoot software & hardware problems and implement solutions. This role ensures that IT systems, applications and infrastructure are functioning optimally, enabling stakeholders to work efficiently without interruption. This position reports to the Workspace Services Manager (TMEA).

      What You Will Do

      • Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users, addressing IT-related queries and troubleshooting issues;

      • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems to minimize downtime and ensure seamless workflow;

      • Monitor system performance and perform system maintenance tasks to ensure smooth and efficient operations;

      • Responsible for the technical documentation in relation of SOP’s and user manuals;

      • Maintain a log of software licenses, updates, and hardware inventory;

      • Conduct IT inductions and training sessions for new employees and current staff to stay informed about new and relevant software or hardware information;

      • Monitor IT systems for security breaches or unauthorized access and support with the implementation of security solutions;

      • Hardware/Software Management – support with new installations, evaluate and recommend software and hardware solutions to meet business needs;

      • Liaise with vendors for the procurement of new systems and software;

      • Coordinate with third-party support services and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met;

      • Contribute to ongoing IT projects and initiatives to enhance technological capabilities and user experiences.

      Who You Are

      • Must have matric, with a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field;

      • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in IT user support;

      • Certifications: CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Cisco's CCNA, or other relevant certifications will be an advantage;

      • Domain-specific Experience: in SAP and SAP Business One (B1) will be advantageous;

      • Must have excellent communication skills (written, verbal & listening) and be fluent in English;

      • Must be punctual, organized with excellent problem solving and attention to detail skills;

      • Must be a strong collaborator within the IT team, cross-functional with a customer centric approach to training and education and drive continuous improvements.
