- Assist in managing the help desk, respond to queries, and resolve issues related to software, hardware, and network.
- Manage equipment lifecycle from procurement to disposal, including device configurations and software installations.
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 and cloud security implementations.
- Learn and manage systems supported by DESC, including Server environments, Endpoint Manager, and Office 365 applications security and compliance, telecommunication and more.
- Provide configuration and support for Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other communication platforms.
- Assist with configuration and management of mobile devices.
- Implement and maintain cloud security policies in Microsoft’s security and compliance frameworks.
- Manage user accounts, including creations, modifications, and backup procedures.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Shadow and learn from various IT teams, including network administrators, cybersecurity specialists, and software developers, to gain a comprehensive understanding of IT operations.
- Maintain software inventory and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
- Document IT processes, guidelines, and configurations to ensure best practices are followed and knowledge is preserved.
- Associate's or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in a systems administrator role or a similar IT position.
- Understanding of network infrastructure and system configuration.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration and cloud platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and to take on challenging tasks.
- Proactive attitude and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Primarily in-office but will require frequent visits to other local sites for equipment setup or user support.
