      Job Description:

      Duties and Responsibilities

      • The growth in sales, market share, and profit of a given geographic territory.
      • Work with local SAM’s and Territory Representatives to coordinate efforts to target key top professional end users accounts.
      • Building value added relationships with key organizations and end users in the market.
      • Develop primary knowledge of the market place (users, applications, products, competition, and channels).
      • Operate within the trending and budget guidelines established by the Regional Manager.
      • Maintain up-to-date opportunity funnel that delivers on overall category goals, utilizing CRM to manage customer targets and sales conversion opportunities.
      • Identify and execute upon opportunities with key professional end user accounts to convert competitive product to the Milwaukee brand.
      • Deliver product presentations and hands on experiences.
      • Work with local service centers to deliver a system solution.
      • Focus on new products and solutions.
      • Support regional and national organizations through training and special initiative execution.
      • Work with product management to identify new product opportunities.
      • Be the expert for Milwaukee’s breadth of line as well as the competitor’s.
      • Provide key support in such areas as, product training, event participation and joint sales calls.
      • Investigate and develop relationships with professional tool system users whether it is at jobsites, offices or tool cribs.
      • Work continuously to learn and implement the Milwaukee Consultative Process in the development of his/her sales skills.
      • Cooperate with the JSS Regional Manager’s efforts to train, coach & mentor for continuous improvement in his/her performance.
      • Support and implement strategic corporate brand marketing initiatives.
      • Cultivate end user demand and build brand champions through end user calls, creative programs and training.
      • Attract the next generation of end users through efforts with trade schools and apprentice programs.
      • Utilize available resources to put tools in the hands of the end user.

      Providing feedback from the field to corporate management regarding:

      • Product and application trends related to new product development.
      • Quality and performance of Milwaukee products.
      • Trends in competition, end users and channels of distribution.
      • Market acceptance of new product launches.

      Physical Job Demands

      • Regularly lift/push/pull/carry materials and tools weighing up to 25 pounds;
      • Occasionally lift tools up to 75 pounds;
      • Frequently set-up and operate displays of tools – requiring use of hands, bending and/or kneeling and/or crouching, and/or stooping;
      • Have the ability to operate equipment with severe vibration and strong torque;
      • Will be expected to drive a car to and from customers – up to eight hours at a time;
      • Sitting 10-50% of work day in car; or, at desk for 4-10 hours per week;
      • Key in computer data 4-6 hours/week;
      • Normal vision/peripheral vision required to safely operate powered hand tools and drive a vehicle;
      • Able to talk and hear effectively, read and write;
      • This position is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions as well as loud noise.

      Job Requirements

      • Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferable in a business related field.
      • Minimum of three years’ experience in a sales or related field is preferred.
      • Meet or Exceed levels of performance in a Territory Representative position or equivalent outside sales experience.
      • Must be able to perform the essential functions and physical demands of the job with or without accommodation.
      • Complete Training program outlined, which includes attending basic selling and product training at METCO headquarters.
      • Must be proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office applications.
      • Must possess effective business communication skills, broad business perspective, and market savvy.
      • CRM experience preferred.
      • Requires a valid driver’s license.
      • Ability to travel overnight up to 30% of the time (depending on market).
      • Spanish speaking abilities are preferred.
