Job Description:

The Junior Analyst will help develop and execute new initiatives from inception to implementation to achieve business objectives of BMO's Global Asset Management on the Structured Solutions team

• Collaborate with stakeholders across the Bank to find new revenue opportunities and identify efficiencies in existing lines of business.
• Breaks down complex strategic problems, utilizing data-driven insights to provide actionable business recommendations.
• Work amongst a cross-functional team to identify market opportunities, analyze investor trends, and devise new initiatives.
• Supports the execution of strategic initiatives in close partnership with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a seamless and impactful implementation.
• Formulate strategic recommendations based on deep understanding of Global Asset’s Management’s overarching goals.
• Foster productive relationships with internal/external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment throughout.
• Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.
• Thinks creatively and proposes new ideas on how to help the overall team.
• Prepare reports and presentations to assist in educating stakeholders on new initiatives and product developments.
• Adheres to all compliance, regulatory, and legal guidelines to uphold the highest standards of ethics and professionalism.
• Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in capital markets or asset management is considered an asset.
• Post-secondary degree in Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field of study.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw conclusions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• High level of initiative, self motivation, and a proactive approach to achieving results.

$52,500.00 - $97,300.00

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
