      Job Description

      About This Role

      (Junior) Analyst EU VAT & Accounting is responsible for preparation and gathering the information from system generated reports for VAT return process for (6) Biogen Companies established in Switzerland and the US.

      What you will do

      • Maintaining the VAT folders to ensure all documents are saved and signed
      • Monthly intrastate preparation
      • Monthly EC-Sales reporting preparation
      • Preparation VAT returns
      • Review all AR invoicing for VAT compliance
      • Responsible for accuracy of customs documents
      • Preparation of VAT reconciliations at month end
      • Coordinating of invoices for compliance to obtain refunds under the 13th directive
      • Preparation of FX-uploads for VAT reports

      Qualifications

      Required skills

      • Advanced MS Excel skills (running & ideally creating macros)
      • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint
      • Bachelor´s Degree (Accounting ) or any other accounting background
      • 2 years’ experience in international accounting
      • General VAT knowledge is an asset
      • Ability to communicate well with co-workers on all levels
      • Strong initiative and ability to work independently and responsibly
      • Ability to multi-task
      • Fluent in English (German is an asset)
      • Accountability of work accomplished
      • Competence to see complex workflows
      • Ability to prioritize workflow
