What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design book interiors, including trade paperback and mass market conversions
- Manage own workload and review text passes and proofs
- Utilize Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat for design work
- Collaborate with various teams within the organization
- Meet demanding deadlines and work well under pressure
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Mastery of Adobe InDesign in Mac OS
- Strong knowledge of typography
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 1 year of experience in print publishing or longform design
- Familiarity with manuscript tagging or HTML
