  Cobol Developer Jr

  What does a great Cobol Conversion Programmer do?

  The primary role for this position is to analyze and convert financial data from competitive banking software systems to our Fiserv Premier platform. You will work as a member of an internal installation team that interacts with our client associates to gather needed artifacts to efficiently and successfully convert their financial data. This is an onsite role based in Lincoln, NE.

  What You Will Do:

  • Develop applications in Cobol to convert and migrate financial data to the Fiserv Premier platform.

  • Perform project analysis to determine conversion and implementation requirements.

  • Provide full-cycle consultation to the client during the conversion and implementation process.

  What You Will Need to Have:

  • Associate degree in programming or related field required.

  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical specifications to clients and implementation teams.

  • Relocate or commute to work out of the Fiserv Premier office in Lincoln, NE (non-traveling position).

  What Would Be Great to Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, related field or equivalent work experience.

  • Prior software application conversion and/or implementation experience

  • Experience coding with Cobol

  • Experience in the banking and/or financial services industry

  • Fiserv Premier Core knowledge strongly preferred

  • Experience with SQL

  This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, New York or Washington.
