      At ALLO Fiber, our website is the front door to the brand and our most visible marketing tool. Not only does the website provide vital information to potential customers, but it’s our largest sales tool. A performant website with an exceptional user experience is of utmost importance.

      The Junior Web Developer will be responsible for developing and implementing clean, semantic, and accessible code for ALLO’s websites. They will assist with content management, executing innovative websites, and other digital and interactive projects using best practices in front-end development and UI/UX. The candidate is responsible for delivering, maintaining, and elevating the quality of the product throughout all phases of the project. You will work daily with the Web Manager and other Marketing team members on tasks and larger projects.

      RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Write clean, standards-compliant HTML, CSS/SASS, JavaScript, and PHP on a variety of web projects.

      • Develop custom templates and pages using WordPress best practices based on provided wireframes or designs that meet brand standards and campaign objectives.

      • Create new pages in the WordPress CMS based on provided wireframes or designs that meet brand standards and campaign objectives.

      • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly content updates in WordPress.

      • Perform maintenance tasks in the codebase and content management system.

      • Run performance and speed tests on ALLO websites. Identify areas for improvement and implement updates or fixes.

      • Take an active part in brainstorming and designing exceptional User Experiences.

      • Ensures concepts meet strategic goals and objectives.

      • Work in tandem with Web Manager, Marketing team members, and others.


      EDUCATION:

      • Associate’s degree or equivalent

      EXPERIENCE:

      • One to two years of experience in front-end development

      • Wordpress and PHP experience preferred but not required


      SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

      • Proficient with CSS/SCSS, HTML, and jQuery/Javascript

      • Some experience with WordPress, PHP, and Bootstrap. Excited to learn more

      • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication and presentation skills

      • Enjoys learning and implementing new front-end development skills

      • Problem solving. Shares new ideas, is creative, and passionate about innovation

      • Accuracy and attention to detail

      • Team player

      • Ability to work independently without direct supervision

      • Proactive, organized, and efficient. Can complete tasks in a timely manner

      • An ability to learn quickly and pivot even quicker when necessary

      • Willingness to learn new frameworks and stretch into additional capabilities

      • Enjoys working in a fun and fast-paced atmosphere

      BONUS POINTS – DESIRED SKILLS, BUT NOT REQUIRED:

      • Experience working with third-party APIs and integrations

      • Working knowledge of Section 508 compliance

      • Experience with version control

      • Experience with other libraries and frameworks like React, VueJS, etc.

      • Has carried out web projects from concept to final execution

      • Experience working with WordPress and PHP is a huge plus.


      REQUIREMENTS:

      • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods

      • Possess/maintain a valid driver's license

      • Travel Requirement: 10%
