      Job Description

      The Kitting Specialist is responsible for accurately sorting, picking, and kitting inventory items and raw materials for customer-specific jobs. This role requires maintaining inventory in an organized manner and initiating the delivery of these kits to the production floor or external suppliers.

      Responsibilities

      • Process incoming materials by confirming part numbers and part counts against purchase orders and shipping documents.
      • Stage materials in designated inventory locations.
      • Pull and identify parts from inventory.
      • Kit specified materials and deliver them to the production floor or external suppliers promptly.
      • Maintain the warehouse in a clean, safe, and organized manner.
      • Read bills of material, pull stock, and accurately transact material movement in the electronic inventory tracking system as required.
      • Assist in physical inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records within the business systems.
      • Assist with loading and unloading trucks.

      Essential Skills

      • At least 2 years’ experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator within a manufacturing warehouse.
      • Proficiency in operating a forklift in narrow aisles.
      • Basic computer skills.
      • Ability to lift 50 pounds.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Forklift operation.
      • Material handling expertise.
      • Experience with RF scanners, loading, pallet jacks, and sit-down forklifts.
      • High School Diploma or Technical School preferred but not required.

      Work Environment

      The facility is medium-sized with approximately 60 employees, offering a clean, new, and modernly designed workspace with comfortable temperatures. It supports a start-to-finish manufacturing process, including fabrication, welding, wiring, and assembly.

      This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carol Stream, Illinois.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
