DIRECT HIRE: BINDERY/KITTING SPECIALISTS NEEDED - 1ST OR 2ND SHIFT

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Bindery Worker to join our team. This role involves performing various bindery tasks to ensure the quality and precision of printed materials. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and be mechanically inclined.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders to determine instructions and specifications for bindery work.
• Examine stitched, collated, bound, or unbound product samples for defects such as imperfect bindings, ink spots, torn pages, loose pages, or loose or uncut threads.
• Perform hand bindery of products including kitting and collating.
• Stitch or glue endpapers, bindings, backings, or signatures using sewing machines, glue machines, or glue and brushes.
• Inspect products and decide whether to accept or reject them to maintain quality standards.

Essential Skills

• Mechanically inclined
• Experience with printing presses
• Machine operation
• Bindery and hand bindery skills
• Kitting
• 1+ years of experience in printing or bindery work
• Ability to read and write English

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced within a printing facility that has heating and air conditioning. However, it can become warmer or colder when dock doors are open. The environment is louder but is well-lit and clean.

This is a Permanent position based out of Bloomington, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $45760.00/yr.
