L2 Support – Application Engineer JD
Role: L2 Application support engineer
Total Exp:5-8 Years
Shift Timings: 6AM to 3 PM
Mandatory skills: ITIL experience, L2 Support , SQL , Database, Active Batch or any Job scheduling tool experience
Location: PAN India (Preferably Bangalore)

Job description:
• Knowledge in MSSQL to understand the codes, basic trouble shooting skills and experience in service now ticket management flow.
• Experience in batch monitoring and application monitoring.
• Experience in confluence and similar documentation tools.
• Provide 24 X 5 dedicated team support
• Flexible to work with night shift, Ready to support during US Hours(CDT).
• Team player who can coordinate with different support teams.
• Support in fixing the batch jobs scheduled in Active batch escalated from L1 team.
• Raise and work with L3 if there is any changes/support needed using assigned communication channels.
• Execute Overnight Checklist – the L2 application support team will execute this checklist while overnight batch running between 4 PM-10 PM CDT approx. during weekdays.
• Execute and coordinate the EOD/SOD process on weekdays running approx. from 3.30pm to 6:30 PM CDT).
• Monitor and identify issues at end points using Service pulse which are escalated by L1.
• Review week-end checklist and support L1 team if there is a need.
• Be available for any planned week-end support. Patching, DR testing, upgrades and week-end releases Mindtree will work with Harris and try to make the L2 team available based on need basis • Document known issues as Knowledge Base articles in SNOW and active batch documentation, including working with Harris L3 resources to understand the resolution of tickets which were escalated but have a workaround or do not require a code change
• Attend CAB Meetings if there is deployment planned for L2 team.
• L2 team is responsible for deploying codes using XL Deploy, SQL Server and Active batch and File copies.
• Review the code and get confirmations if there is any gaps.
• Implement the changes ontime during the slot approved by CAB.
• Understanding of Batch jobs and good to have experience in Batch monitoring and good in analytical skill to resolve the issues.
