      We are looking for a Laboratory Operations Lead.

      Team purpose

      We enable the development and verification of drug delivery devices to meet the needs of the Genentech and Roche combination product pipeline .

      We provide infrastructure and facilities for qualified staff to safely, accurately, and efficiently perform product testing under phase-appropriate levels of control for equipment, processes, methods, personnel, and data.

      Who you are

      As Device Laboratory Operations Lead you will actively interface with stakeholders to plan and schedule laboratory testing, facilitate the work of the operations team, and act as a Subject Matter Expert for Lab Operations. As Operations Lead you understand the technical & compliance needs of the Laboratory and generate new and innovative solutions to solve complex problems.

      Leadership

      • You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand the timing and scope of testing needs.
      • You will manage the test request and test scheduling processes including sample inventory to ensure testing is completed on-time, and escalate resource constraints to the Laboratory Manager.
      • You will identify continuous improvement opportunities for Lab processes, and generate innovative solutions.
      • You may support internal and external audit preparation for lab operations.

      Technical

      • You will be a Subject Matter Expert for Lab Operations activities including test execution workflows, inventory management, environmental monitoring, safety and compliance, Lab 5S, Planned and Unplanned Events, etc.
      • You will be the author and/or reviewer of documents such as SOPs and Work Instructions.
      • You will adhere to cGMP policies and procedures
      • You may execute Lab Operations activities as needed including routine testing, test method validation, sample management, environmental monitoring, safety/compliance tasks.

      Your Qualifications and Experience

      • Minimum of Associate's degree (A.S) in a related technical field. An equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

      Work Environment / Physical Demands Considerations:

      The majority of work is completed at the location of employment in a laboratory-type setting. An ability to make repetitive motions and manual manipulations of samples is needed. You should be able to lift 25 pounds.

      Safety Considerations

      • Work is performed in a laboratory setting.
      • Work requires use of glassware, needles, and syringes.
      • PPE (e.g. lab coat, safety glasses) are required whenever working in the laboratory.

      The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is 77,100 - 143,100. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
