- Verify Lab Services staff complete the daily tasks as assigned by BMS Lab Managers, ensuring alignment with IFM Lab Services Scope of Work, compliance with client processes and procedures, while sustaining a safe work environment.
- Execute the onboarding and offboarding of Lab Services staff and vendors, informing appropriate site contacts, IT requirements are submitted, and appropriate training is assigned.
- Participate in client and site working groups that involve laboratory activities, development of the site and areas that rely on Lab Services activities. Act as a JLL liaison for lab projects/changes that will interface with Facilities and require additional JLL support.
- Liaison with service providers to verify staffing level adherence to JLL contract and validating the invoices for those services. Review security logs to ensure JLL-contracted service provider onsite hours are aligned with applicable invoices.
- Conducts periodic safety, environmental, and other required inspections/audits of departmental facilities (i.e. self-assessments). Ensures that appropriate documentation is submitted and takes prompt action to correct conditions found to be out of compliance or unsafe.
- Supervise JLL Chemical Procurement Specialist, ensure timely execution of RIO external order requests, liaison with East Coast counterparts for issue resolution and coverage needs.
- Be an active participant on the JLL@BMS Contractor Safety Committee, representing the San Diego location and sharing best practices/learnings with the team.
- Work with JLL Facility Manager to manage Lab Services operating budgets for the assigned portfolio, proactively track variances and manage within target. Through effective scheduling, manage overtime expenditures while meeting client operational needs.
- Achieve cost savings through maximizing utilization of staff, suppliers, preferred vendors/contractors, and identify additional efficiency opportunities, consistent with client goals.
- Assure sustained compliance at all times with all legal, JLL and client codes, procedures, policies. Communicate events, issues, and observations, in order to promote a safety culture - where recognized hazards are avoided through encouragement of “good catches.”
- Aligns direct reports and vendor services to common goals. Increases productivity of teams by helping to resolve conflict. Participates in teams as a leader and team member as required.
- Represents JLL as a business representative. Provides and promotes ideas and innovations for service efficiencies and improvements, driving continuous improvement. Gains trust and guards’ confidentiality.
- Performs additional job duties as requested. May be required to perform tasks of other staff members when absent.
- Minimum of 5 years of lab experience, preferably within the BioPharma industry.
- 2-5 years of supervisory experience, with management of service providers preferred.
- Prior experience with a CMMS is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Required to provide precise, accurate, and timely documentation as applicable.
- Must be a team player committed to customer service and working in a laboratory environment.
- Knowledge of MS Office suite.
- Knowledge of contracts in place to deliver contracted goods and services. Sound communication skills to deliver goods and services to agreed service levels at predetermined costs and schedules, while maintaining positive vendor relations.
- Skilled at managing the relationship between JLL and the client organization, ensuring transparent communication between the service provider and the customer.
- High degree of professional knowledge in the Lab Services marketplace of outsourcing. Understanding of the BioPharma industry and the process of bringing medicines to market. Detailed understanding and experience in service delivery, service standards, legal and regulatory requirements, market and vendor capabilities.
- Ability to communicate and build relationships at all levels within the business and the vendor organization.
- Proven strong customer service skills. Demonstrates understanding and continuous assessment of customer needs. Expertly balances customer requirements against business constraints.
- Clearly communicates with colleagues and customers, understands their goals and work priorities, and provides timely feedback to customers.
- Capable of adjusting to changing business needs without losing focus on long-term goals.
- Represent JLL to all staff, and all customers, presenting solution-oriented options in support of client mission.
- Ensure compliance with portfolio wide initiatives, required local, state and federal laws and regulations, JLL audit and compliance requirements, and client compliance requirements that pertain to the operating of facilities entrusted to the Account team to manage on behalf of the client and/or owner.

What this job involves: Responsible for verifying the contractual responsibilities outlined in the Lab Services scope of work and IFM contract. Liaise with BMS Lab Managers, BMS EHS contacts, and BMS contract managers as it relates to scope changes, inspection findings, and issue resolution. Assists with the preparation and monitoring of the JLL annual budget plan. Assists senior management in development and implementation of strategic initiatives. The Lab Services Lead roles and responsibilities will apply to all four facilities at the San Diego, CA location.

Estimated total compensation range for this position is:
80,000.00 – 92,000.00 USD per yearThe pay range listed is a total compensation range including bonus, if applicable. The provided range is an estimate and not guaranteed.
