What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide day-to-day operational support for Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) including advanced troubleshooting
- Build and maintain the integrity of the LIS database
- Act as a liaison between clinical personnel and vendors to resolve system issues
- Analyze, develop, and maintain computer applications and procedures to meet laboratory needs
- Review and test changes, interfaces, and enhancements, providing onsite support during go-lives and system upgrades
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in medical technology, computer science, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum three years of experience with laboratory information systems or clinical laboratory experience, or relevant computer science experience
- Minimum of two full life cycle implementation projects
- Minimum three years of experience in at least one specified laboratory application
- Ability to travel to offices in all regions as needed
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree in a healthcare or information technology field
- Certifications in multiple Cerner solution areas, Project Management Professional (PMP), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), or Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS)
