- Perform a wide range of laboratory tests and experiments on consumer products, following established protocols and procedures.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Prepare samples and reagents for testing, adhering to strict safety guidelines.
- Document and report test results, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during testing.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in laboratory techniques and technologies.
- High School diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a laboratory setting in a private, public, government, or military environment
- Associate's degree or higher in a relevant scientific field (e.g., chemistry, biology, or related).
- Experience working in a consumer product lab or related industry.
- Familiarity with quality control and assurance processes.
- Experience with testing, collecting data, reporting and communicating data
- Knowledge of statistical analysis software.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
- Proficient in using laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Laboratory Technician to join our Home Improvement Lab team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in conducting various tests and experiments to ensure the quality and safety of our consumer products. This is a full-time, in-person position, at the 3M Center.As a Laboratory Technician you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
