Job Description

- Managing complaints and escalation directly with the landlord and using internal networks to deliver outcomes which maintains our commitments to the lease and the contract with the landlord.
- You will own the landlord relationship process for the contract and will use insights to drive continuous improvement and reduce propensity for complaint.
- Negotiating compensation awards with the landlords that are fair, you will monitor the volumes of compensation given and look at ways to reduce this through process change
- You will represent the contract through any legal disputes and work closely with our legal teams to prepare casework
- Where there are changes to regulations or the letting codes, work with our landlords to ensure they understand their obligations and are taking the actions required
- Where there is compliance risk or lack of adherence this will be managed by you and actions taken to rectify, including handing the property back to the landlord.
- Manage any third-party disputes between the landlord, Mears and any contractors appointed to do works on a property.
- Proven track record of managing client relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communicating skills.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload to deadlines with a ‘can do’ attitude
- The ability to manage workloads and relationships effectively in accordance with Mears policies and procedures.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

Up to £34,125 per annum
Full time – Permanent, 40hrs per week, Monday to Friday
Including Company vehicle and fuel card
Mears provides temporary accommodation to asylum seekers whilst their claim is being assessed in three regions: Northwest, Yorkshire and Humber, Northern Ireland, and Scotland. At the end of May 2021 Mears had over 19000 service users across the three regions. Mears work in partnership with central and local Government, registered providers, tenants, landlords and investors to find solutions to homelessness, provide more social and affordable housing and create specialist housing for people with care needs.
About the Role:
This is a critical role in managing our landlord relationships by delivering quality interactions and communications with these stakeholders. Managing conflict will be a key aspect of this role, so you will have a wealth of client relationship skills and use these to negotiate outcomes which are fair and consistent.

The Landlord Relationship Lead is a multi-functional role and varies from day to day so experience from a client relationship background and working in a very fast paced environment you will have the ability to build trust through strong communication capability that will be key to the success of this role.
Role Criteria:
