- Prepare and deliver product training including industry trends and competitive product information to the dealer network and division sales personnel to maximize their potential for success
- Train dealership personnel to demonstrate equipment effectively to retail customers
- Support dealership personnel conducting on farm product demonstrations
- Participate in the sales process with dealership and division personnel by supporting their sales efforts from a technical sales perspective
- Prospect and discretionary fund management
- Work with Regional Sales Managers to recruit, build, and maintain an industry leading dealer network to provide high levels of customer satisfaction
- Gather and analyze industry and competitive sales information to make recommendations on sales and marketing strategies
- Identify the need for new and existing product development and supply information gathered to appropriate departments within the Company
- Participate in local and national trade shows to promote the sale of Kubota agricultural products.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, Marketing, or other related fields required.
- At least 5 years of related sales experience in the heavy equipment industry.
- High level of knowledge of the specialty crop, hay equipment and large agricultural tractor industries
- Good interpersonal skills including the ability to develop effective internal and external working relationships.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively negotiate with customers and dealers.
- Proficiency using SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
- 60% equipment including tractors, hay equipment and other related implements.
- 40% office equipment including computer, phone, projector, and printer

BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION
Launch, develop, promote, and support the sale of Kubota tractors above 70 horsepower within specialty crops and hay equipment. The Product Specialist will provide outstanding product knowledge, competitive sales information and demonstrate knowledge of farming practices to our dealer network and division personnel to achieve Company’s stated goals and objectives.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES: This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures, and guidelines:
