- Provide inputs to software systems strategy, architecture, and standards.
- Design, implement and maintain AEM-based web solutions aligned with business requirements and best practices, including usability, accessibility, site performance, and security.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members, fostering collaboration and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define system requirements and design scalable, flexible, and sustainable AEM solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, content creators, vendors, and technical teams to deliver integrated digital solutions that meet user needs and business objectives.
- Utilize both front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end (Java/J2EE) development skills to build and customize AEM components, templates, and workflows.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and performance optimization techniques, and work closely with QA resources to ensure the quality and reliability of deliverables.
- Document technical designs, configurations, and processes, and provide training and knowledge sharing sessions to team members to promote continuous learning and skill development.
- Integrate AEM with other systems and platforms as needed.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in AEM and web development. Evaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, information science, business, or related field required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum requirement: 5+ progressive years of IT experience including systems programming and development.
- Prefer 5 years of hands-on development experience in Adobe Experience Manager and related Adobe products.
- Hands-on experience in AEM Components, Templates, Tags, Experience Fragments, Workflows, OSGi services, Sling Servlets, Event Listeners, etc preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery and related web technologies preferred.
- Proficient in software development process es , including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations preferred.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools preferred.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and a sense of ownership preferred.
- Advanced experience in system architecture and design.
- Experience in programming with querying languages (eg: SQL).
- Advanced experience in application troubleshooting/debugging.
- Experience in enterprise application risk assessment and mitigation.
- Advanced experience in SDLC methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, CI/CD).
- Experience with regulatory requirements and/or standards as applicable.
- Advanced experience providing technical guidance and mentorship within Systems Programming & Development.
- Proven performance in earlier role/comparable role.

Position Overview
St. Jude is seeking a full-stack Lead Developer to play a crucial role in driving the development and maintenance of St. Jude’s digital properties and ensuring an optimal experience for all audiences. The qualified candidate will work in an agile, fast-paced, and collaborative environment, and serve as a leader on a small team of developers. The Lead Developer will leverage Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) to build and enhance websites, applications, integrations, and digital experiences that support the mission and goals of St. Jude. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
