      As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Wealth Management Business (CCB) under Self Directed Investing , you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

      Job responsibilities

      • Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
      • Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
      • Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
      • Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
      • Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
      • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

      Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

      This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

      • 5-10 years of combined software/application development experience in doing Mobile Development
      • 3+ years of experience leading technology and mentoring a team of diverse sets of engineers building native mobile apps
      • Strong Android development background in developing mobile applications using Kotlin
      • Familiar with architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVP, MVC
      • Experience with modern native mobile development tools and systems (git, Xcode, Cocoapods, Swift Package Manager, CoreData, Android Studio, Roboelectric, Mockito, Espresso, RxJava, Dagger, Retrofit, Coroutines)
      • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
      • Experience with Agile development including daily scrum and weekly iteration reviews and planning

      Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

      • Familiarity with how to optimize code for phones, testing with phones, challenges with phones
      • Familiarity with several languages: Swift, Kotlin, Objective-C, Java, C++, JavaScript, Ruby, Python
      • Experience with GIT source control management.
      • Experience consuming RESTful web services from mobile platform
      • Advanced communication skills with the ability to clarify application requirements via phone/email with business partners in addition to relying on technical requirements documentation
