Role Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the UK Shareholder Services, Innovation and Delivery Testing Team as a Lead Business acceptance Tester who will primarily be working on a project to migrate a current system to a web based application for the premier product (exec and discretionary). The core activities of the Equiniti BAT Test Lead are: to analyse requirements, to prepare test estimates, to design and write test scripts, to identify and manufacture test data, to manually execute test scripts, to raise and retest bugs and to ensure and maintain a level of quality excellence for all Equiniti Group products.

Core Duties/Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking the following activities and providing oversight and transparency across the release process:

• Engage closely with key stakeholders such as IT / Product Management and Operations to ensure all requirements of the development are covered off thoroughly in the BAT testing.
• Involvement in pre BAT planning including understanding requirements, design specifications and converting them into test scripts.
• Reviewing all test scenarios put together by the BAT or operational teams
• Monitor testing to ensure the correct processes and standards are followed and timescales are met
• Manual test execution
• Analyse test results to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Responsible for logging and tracking bugs, and will work closely with Product owners, Developers, Project Managers and Product Managers to ensure quality testing is taking place in a timely manner.
• Lead projects with other members of the team or operational team members that assist with testing.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across Equiniti delivery teams.
• Maintaining Azure dev ops for reporting and recording test cases.
• Liaison with the operational team for business sign off of testing, readiness for live and live deployment checks.
• Ability to be able to able to work on your own and make decisions.
• Provide support and training to others in a clear and concise manner
• Prioritisation of own workload
• Working with IT and business units to explore test automation
• Reporting to the senior lead business acceptance test manager

• Have good problem solving skills and a questioning mind
• Strong organisational skills and flexibility to be able to manage own time and assist the team with work priorities to ensure delivery of key testing dates are met
• Strong communication skills and team working ethic
• Previous experience of testing is essential
• Knowledge of Premier (executive and discretionary and Global Nominee) would be a definite advantage
• Experience in
  • Agile and Waterfall based continuous testing
  • DevOps and/or Jira
  • SQL Server and Microsoft office
• Ability to communicate about IT and technology in plain-English and in non-technical terms to colleagues and Clients.
• Must be flexible, independent and self-motivated.
• Ability to work calmly and methodically when under pressure
