What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design and implement relational database structures, stored procedures, views, and functions
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for reporting use
- Collaborate with application developers and product managers to integrate backend data solutions
- Monitor database performance and provide guidance for tuning, including indexing and query optimization
- Document database schemas, processes, and best practices
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Proven experience in database design and modeling
- Proficiency in SQL and related languages (T-SQL, PL/SQL, Python, JavaScript)
- Experience with databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or Snowflake
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with ETL processes and tools like SSIS or Informatica
- Experience in performance tuning of database systems
- Background in collaboration with application developers, data analysts, and DevOps teams
- Strong documentation skills for procedures, schemas, and logic
