      About the role

      Analytics and Reporting (A&R) – Biometrics Dev Ops Lead

      The role of our ideal candidate will include but not limited to

      • As a A&R Biometrics DevOps Lead, you will be key member of the A&R Product IT DevOps team which will be core product managing A&R applications – Entimice, SAS GRID.

      • The IT Tech DevOps Lead will have the opportunity to collaborate with Platform Manager, Product Manager/Owner, Senior Platform Engineers, Release Manager, and Solution/Integration Architects within AZ to establish standard methodologies for software development and engineering, business analysis, solution designs, enterprise software integration and project management within BizDevOps IT Platform Delivery Model.

      • Responsibilities may include collaboration with vendors and internal collaborators to define requirements and develop implementation plans.

      • Monitor system change requests. Ensure alignment to IT standards, works with the clinical project team to identify system changes, and ensure completion of the changes through its life cycle.

      • Serve as Technical Authority (SME) for SAS related applications through the implementation process and life cycle of the study by providing guidance to the partner/sponsor and internal teams on the design and support of A&R Products.

      • Provide guidance and assist in the preparation of system related specifications and documentation

      • Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the application systems in operation, including tasks related to identifying and fix application issues

      • Ensures all production changes are made in accordance with life-cycle methodology and risk guidelines

      • Should be able to work on application enhancements, application upgrades when necessary. Should be open to work on ambitious tasks/requirements when needed.

      • Should be able to collaborate closely with other internal teams/vendors (third-party suppliers) as applicable for addressing an application issue and in case of any project need.

      • Send detailed and timely communication to users in case of planned/unplanned outage. Should be able to lead an outage call and drive it to resolution.

      • Follow good documentation practices such as creating KBAs (Knowledge Base Articles) and publishing it for quicker and easier access to better address the issues/tickets.

      • Create technical backlogs/Story/Epic in JIRA (as appropriate) and work on it based on the product priority.

      Essential Skills/Experience Required:

      Biometrics (A&R) Domain/Technology:

      • Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science or life science related field with IT/CRO/Pharma experience with total of demonstrated ability.

      • Industry experience working or implementing solutions based on CDISC Clinical Reporting Standards (SDTM, AdaM, TLF Reporting).

      • Minimum 7-8 years working experience in SAS GRID related administration

      • Accredited Certifications SAS Administration from Vendor

      • Possesses a good understanding of SAS Programming & shell scripting, reporting tools, infrastructure and apply programming skills to develop/enhance SAS programs, macros and scripts.

      • Ensure that all system security and control procedures are implemented and maintained

      • Responsible to maintain the configuration specification documentation both for functional and integration configuration.

      • Work with software vendors on product requirements and issues related to the platform, security set-up and functional configuration.

      • Knowledge of client-server networking and database management

      • Administration background in SAS Viya 3.5/4.0 environments

      • Experience with SAS Visual Analytics & Power BI highly preferred

      • Familiarity with shell scripting & groovy scripting

      • Experience in R and Python is an added advantage

      • End to end knowledge of clinical trial development processes and its associated system landscape.

      • Solid grasp of common industry standard business practices as related to clinical trials (study set up, clinical operations, data management and reporting).

      • Strong knowledge of ICH/G guidelines, 21 CFR Part 11, clinical trial methodology and software development lifecycle activities.

      • Knowledge of support processes like Incident Management, Problem Management, Organisational Change and experience working in support teams

      • Knowledge or experience with JMP Clinical, JReview, StatXact, CR Toolkit, Pinnacle 21

      IT Engineering:

      • Expertise and engineering approach to help design and implement a Clinical Data Solutions adhering to Products on Platform Strategy.

      • Demonstrable ability to manage diverse collaborators and ensure delivery to a high degree of satisfaction.

      • Demonstrable ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.

      • Confidently communicate and interpersonal skills to lead customers, from technical personnel to senior collaborators, in urgent or critical situations.

      • Experience in Gxp validated systems implementation and maintenance of applications.

      • Knowledge of Identity management solution based on AZURE, OKTA, Oauth, Ping Federate/AD technologies.

      • Understanding database concepts and ability to use data to optimize reporting, data mapping and programming.

      • Experience in development of Interfaces/Integration between on-premises and SaaS Platform enabled Products using API’s, Web Services (MuleSoft) and ETL (SnapLogic) tech enablers.

      • Some Knowledge of using/creating build tools and CI/CD (maven, ant, gradle, Sonar or similar tools).

      • Experience with Cloud Platforms such as AWS, AZURE.

      • Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Automated Testing tools.

      • Experience of working in agile teams using methodologies such as SCRUM and SAFe & managing a team of 5+ & working in an Agile Dev-ops model

      • Experience programming in Java or other object-oriented programming languages.

      • Experience delivering or developing workshop material, training, gap analyses, or requirements gathering sessions with business and system collaborators.

      • Certification in IT delivery framework, Scrum Master, DevOps Lead role.

      • Participate in business requirement gathering and design activities with business & IT collaborators as part of scrum team

      • Perform delivery activities through Design/Build/Test/Deploy phases for regular releases on A&R platform
