      About the role

      The Data and Insights Analyst will be assisting with translating the data that we derive from the Management, Monitoring, Security & ServiceNow Tools and Platforms into actionable insights. Working under guidance of more senior employees, the role holder will be involved in analysing requirements, implementing components of solutions as well as supporting solution enhancements and maintenance, which may require a close collaboration with third party suppliers. The Data & Insights Analyst will adhere to the established AstraZeneca lifecycle methodology and practices. This may include maintaining program libraries and technical documentation of individual components within solutions.

      Typical Accountabilities

      • Handle data effectively from different sources, and build scripts that will make the custom data platform flexible and scalable across data sets

      • Make use of specialist tools and statistical methods to extract the data needed, research new ways to make use of the data, respond to data-related queries and analyse to identify trends.

      • Collaborate with Senior stake holders across IT and Business to gather requirements, understand challenges, provide insights based on in-depth assessment of data from infrastructure tools and solutions, and build relationships.

      • Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources

      • Align with organizational methods and develop information-model and standard documents for data sets

      • Build a Proactive environment, plan and drive the journey towards being Prescriptive and Predictive.

      • Self-initiated curiosity with an eye for performance, investigating and identify areas for improvement

      • Gathers and collates information on existing and upcoming infrastructure solutions and services

      • Develops technical expertise and shares knowledge as required with project teams working on the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of IT Infrastructure Operations solutions

      • Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

      Education, Qualifications, and Experience

      Essential

      • "9-12 years of IT experience but 3-5 years of relevant data and insight experience ".

      • Strong experience in EDA (Exploratory Data Analysis), SQL and programming with and Python/R

      • Higher education with demonstrated capability to perform in a complex IT environment

      • Prior experience in an Information Services/Information Technology environment with good business acumen

      • Experience of working within a quality and compliance environment and application of policies, procedures, and guidelines

      • Evidence of designing, testing, and maintaining solutions

      • Experience of sharing knowledge/ information and implementing any changes

      • Well versed in ITIL V3.0 practices and process

      • Good experience and/or awareness and/or drive in/to create actionable insights for IT Operations from IT systems that can support the operations of a world class IT function.

      Desirable

      Degree level education in computer science or Masters.

      Skills and Capabilities

      Essential

      • Global engagement exposure or working in a global team.

      • Good team player and stake holder engagement

      • Experience of Data Analysis enabling tool kits

        • Data Handling (ETL)

        • Splunk (Search expert, data science analyst , developer role)

        • Python or R

        • Statistical Methods

        • Snowflake, DBT, collibra

        • Machine Learning implementation experience

      • Awareness of the end-to-end processes and activities in the build and support of Data solutions

      • Experience in the use of metadata cataloguing tools

      Desirable

      • Demonstrate initiative, strong customer orientation, and cross-cultural working

        • ServiceNow Data Insight Experience

        • AI-OPS

        • GxP, SOX compliance

      • Quality and Audit exposure (D)

        • Experienced in applying a risk-based methodology to data and information management
