      About this role:

      Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Control Management Officer responsible for partnering with their relevant business group to develop and maintain a strong control environment leading to the early identification and sustainable mitigation of operational risk. Responsible for Risk Identification & Assessment, Control Design & Evaluation, Issues & Control Deficiencies, Control Governance & Reporting, and Control Programs.


      In this role, you will:

      • Lead complex initiatives designed to mitigate current and emerging risks with broad impact

      • Act as key participant in monitoring, evaluating, and measuring the impact of decisions practiced in Control Management functional area

      • Monitor moderately complex business specific programs, and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk-mitigation strategies

      • Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area

      • Develop and implement risk monitoring and risk reporting processes and controls

      • Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance in developing and implementing risk-mitigating strategies

      • Lead Control Management project or virtual teams


      Required Qualifications:

      • 5+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

      Desired Qualifications:

      • 4+ years of experience supporting the Issue Management Lifecycle, including issue identification, root cause analysis, corrective action development and implementation

      • 4+ years of experience identifying, assessing, evaluating, and documenting controls, control procedures and control gaps, to mitigate and support operational and compliance risk

      • 4 + years of experience conducting comprehensive Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSA), including risk identification, evaluating, and designing controls, performing impact assessments, identifying control gaps, and implementing effective risk remediation strategies

      • Advanced knowledge of Branch Banking control design and or control framework

      • Experience communicating effectively, in both written and verbal formats

      • Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability

      • Ability to drive and lead organizational change, prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment

      • Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas

      • Ability to develop and negotiate solutions to issues with partners, including escalations as needed

      • Outstanding problem solving and decision-making skills

      • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

      Pay Range

      Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

      $111,100.00 - $217,200.00
