Lead Data Analyst – Programming and Analytics

- Lead and mentor a team of Data Analysts, overseeing projects and providing strategic insights.
- Develop and review reports to meet health plan requirements, ensuring compliance and supporting data-driven decisions.
- Provide analytical support for departments, focusing on enrollment, membership, payments, claims, provider networks, and utilization management.
- Generate reports complying with regulations such as HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and state laws.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design solutions, document reports, and respond to ad hoc queries.
- Interact daily with IT and business departments on various issues.
- Contribute to architecture and design of internally developed solutions.
- Maintain records and logs of support activities.
- Address enrollment-related changes, backend logic, ETL, and reporting issues.
- Serve as SME for complex enrollment issues and oversee reconciliation processes.
- Work with business leaders to improve processes and resolve issues.
- Develop and update workflows and guides for better efficiency.
- Manage and train staff to ensure team success.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the IT Manager.
- Maintain and develop skills through training, reading, and participation in IT organizations.
- Provide training and support to staff and users to develop in-house expertise.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or 6+ years' experience.
- Extensive experience (3-4 years) with programming languages and reporting tools such as C#.NET, SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, Crystal Reports, etc.
- Healthcare experience, especially in health plan payer settings, with knowledge of enrollment, claims, provider networks, and utilization management.
- Proficiency with MSSQL or similar relational databases and Data Warehouse concepts.
- At least 5 years of data reporting analysis experience.
- Strong documentation skills for workflows, data sources, and procedures.
- Proactive approach to automation and process improvement.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Good planning and organizational skills.
- Highly proficient in ETL and SSIS processes.

Pay Scale: Ranging from $91,478-$129,189 per year
The salary of the selected finalist will be determined based on various factors including experience, education, and training. This pay scale does not guarantee a specific wage.
Position Summary
This role involves designing and developing programs and reports in a Microsoft-centric environment, utilizing tools such as MS SQL, T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS, and C#.NET. The analyst will provide accurate, complex analysis-based information, working independently and communicating effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting, preferably with experience in health plan payer environments.
