      Basic Job Functions:

      Verco Decking Inc. is seeking a Deck Plant Lead. This position will report directly to the Deck Plant Supervisor. The Deck Plant Lead is responsible to lead the team by example concerning safety, environmental issues, quality and productivity.

      • Direct team to be efficient in producing quality products while working safely at all times.
      • Implement training for teammates in all work stations and cross training.
      • Run daily production and tool box meetings regarding safety, scheduling and work station assignments.
      • Provide ongoing mentoring, coaching and development of production teammates.
      • Oversee day to day production operations and resolve issues that may arise.
      • Responsible for continuous communication with Deck Plant Supervisor regarding all aspects of safety, production, quality and issues that may arise.
      • Attend meetings in the absence of the Deck Plant Supervisor.

      Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

      Minimum Requirements:

      • A minimum of two years in the manufacturing environment.
      • Willingness to travel.
      • Supervisor and/or Manager Recommendation.

      Preferences:

      • Leadership experience
      • SAP experience
