      Job summary

      An exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead dementia and delirium practitioner has arisen within the corporate nursing Directorate. This post offers an excellent opportunity to become senior member of the directorate and to influence positive patient experience and outcomes for those living with dementia and delirium.

      We welcome skilled and accomplished individuals with a vision and ability for quality improvements. You will need to have passion for the care of the elderly, excellent influencing and negotiation skills and have the ability to challenge where required.

      Main duties of the job

      The post holder is an experienced registered healthcare professional with the specialist skills to assess patients and to advise on their treatment and management with in the clinical environment. The post holder would work collaboratively with the management and consultant teams and work as an autonomous practitioner.

      The post holder will lead in developing new practice and work in collaboration with other health care professional ensuring that quality standard are met and high quality patient care is enhanced forming clinical decisions and complex management plans.

      The post holder has the responsibility to manage clinical care in partnership with patients, families and carers. It includes the analysis and synthesis of complex problems enabling solutions to enhance peoples experience and improve outcomes.

      Following your Corporate Induction you will be expected to attend the Trusts 2-week Induction Programme for RNs, NAs, RMs, ODPs and Paramedics. The programme is full-time (please email mtw-tr.professionalstandards@nhs.net if this is problematic)and will involve travel to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area, classroom-based sessions and e-learning.

      • Certified course specialty eg dementia and frailty
      • Registration with relevant professional body
