Lead complex initiatives such as reviewing project drawings, specifications, soil engineering reports, budgets, contracts and other project documents with broad impact
Determine tasks, work scope and due diligence level based on the profile of the project
Review and perform complex document reviews and full cost support on complex commercial construction projects
Approve third party consultant reports for adequacy and conformance to industry standards and explain complex remediation methods or concepts to ensure informed decisions are made prior to loan approvals
Make decisions in technical data to identify potential environmental risks and regulatory compliance
Collaborate and consult with external vendors and relationship managers to resolve issues and achieve deliverables
Oversee a team in training and guidance of new hires
5+ years of Construction and Environmental Valuations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
BS Degree (Environmental/Engineering/Geology) with at least 5 years of progressive experience and responsibilities in the fields of environmental risk management or environmental consulting
Knowledge and understanding of environmental risk management lending issues
Strong knowledge and understanding of ASTM E1527-13 and -21 standards and US Small Business Administration Standard Operating Procedure (SOP 50 10 7)
Demonstrated ability to review and evaluate Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Phase II ESAs, remedial investigation, remedial action plans, and other limited-scope environmental due diligence reports
Demonstrated ability to review and evaluate complex environmental issues, including quantification of remedial costs and schedules, and determining scope of work for Phase II investigations to assess soil, soil vapor, groundwater, and vapor intrusion issues
Proven ability in communicating policy and environmental issues with lending representatives
Knowledge and understanding of Texas environmental regulations and regulatory agencies
Experience supporting GSE- Related projects is desired including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD
Demonstrated ability to document and communicate complex review findings in actionable business terms
Ability to meet deadlines

Customer service focus with experience actively listening, eliciting information, comprehending customer issues/needs, and recommending solutions
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook) skills
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
