Job Description

- Ensure the unit and assigned developers are observing the developer roadmaps created and distributed to the unit.
- Work with supervisory examiners to ensure examiner commissioning program learning is aligned with on-the-job experiences.
- Coach junior staff members by providing feedback and candid advice.
- Identify and inform new developers for each role in the examination process.
- Act as a developer for different roles in the examination process, field travel for 1 to 2 weeks per month is required.
- Provide updates to the developer roadmaps to ensure continued effectiveness.
- Plan and at time conduct examination related training.
- Work with supervisory examiners to ensure regulatory changes are communicated and staff are aware of their impact to their job
- Interact with supervisory examiners and assigned developers to ensure field staff receive development opportunities and necessary support.
- Participate in Consumer Affairs Management Group meetings to discuss staff development, scheduling, personnel, and other Department issues.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the system Consumer Compliance Staff Development Working Group.
- Participate in District and System projects.
- Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience working in a professional setting working with teams.
- An examiner commission.
- 5+ years of experience in the current consumer compliance examination process
- Deep knowledge of the current examiner commission program and related content
- Demonstrated interest in mentoring
- Critical thinking skills, including sound judgment and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities
- 25% travel is required (5-7 days per month)

An opportunity exists for a Lead Examiner in the Consumer Affairs unit. While you will not have direct reports, you will have the direct responsibility for developing field staff and managing the development process for the CA Unit. The ideal candidate is someone who not only has deep subject matter expertise in consumer compliance laws and regulations, but can also adjust development style to the learner and work with other developers to provide a consistent experience throughout the unit.
You will report to a Supervisory Examiner and work on-site in the St. Louis or Little Rock office.Responsibilities

Salary: 135,000 - 174,000
