Monitoring and improving the scrum process and project progress; helping solve impediments in the development process.
Coaching the scrum team to apply appropriate processes to create successful products.
Fostering self-organization and collaborative scrum team; sheltering the team from outside distractions to keep focus mainly on the agreed sprint goals.
Ensuring scrum principles and approaches are understood correctly by the development team and stakeholders; maximizing the performance of the team.
Assist with Program Increment planning, backlog grooming and sprint planning.
Ensure the squad is effectively delivering against sprint goals, driving out blockers and integrating key components into the overall roadmap
Work through ambiguity and understand project initiatives, and how to deliver it.
Manage stakeholders and messaging to Leadership
High level of general management skills including, but not limited to, leading, negotiating, communicating and team building
In this role, you will communicate and interact frequently with RBC and CNB partners and/or employees located across Canada and/or worldwide.
5+ years progressive IT project delivery experience managing programs with high level of value, complexity and multi-million project budgets.
Working experience of SDLC and Agile delivery methodologies and tools (Jira & Confluence).
Experience in project delivery, project plan development and management, project governance, scheduling methodology, project metrics, analysis, status reporting, and change management.
Jira / Confluence
Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
Professional, approachable and fun!
PMP or CSM certification or equivalent
Experience with MIS, Planview and RBC project governance.
Previous RBC or Financial Services experience would be an asset
