      Job summary

Please note this is an 18 month fixed term post

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Buckinghamshire Healthcare Trust EPR Team. We are looking for candidates with the potential to develop and progress within the training service.

You will have knowledge and experience of clinical and non-clinical systems: with a particular focus in CareFlow EPR, OpenRiO, and Microsoft Office with the ability to learn new systems in conjunction with ongoing Trust projects.

As the Lead IT Trainer you will be flexible, approachable, and self-motivated. You should be able to lead a team of trainers as well as provide hands on training to end users. The post holder will work autonomously to deadlines and in partnership with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders within a fast-paced environment.

The post holder will be expected to work flexibly when required and travel to other Trust sites across Buckinghamshire.

      Main duties of the job

As part of the Digital Transformation Programme which is in support of Buckinghamshire Healthcare Trust's Digital Strategy, we are seeking to recruit a Lead IT Trainer that will sit within the EPR team to drive advances in patient care and efficient processes across the Trust.

The post holder will be part of the team responsible for the training for clinical, nursing and administrative staff who require access to Trust systems, in particular the systems deployed through the National Programme for IT (CareFlow EPR, OpenRiO), as well as new systems to be deployed in the future and existing business as usual training. Through the delivery of effective training, ensure that staff follow best practice adhering to Trust Information Governance policies and follows standard operating procedures specific to their work area.

The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination and implementation of training the services as defined in the standard project delivery framework in Buckinghamshire Health Care Trust.

This encompasses planning, delivery, monitoring, and evaluation of training. As the Lead IT Trainer for the Programme, the post holder will lead a team in providing expert training to key stakeholders.

This post supports a combination of agile/on site working which requires the ability to travel to any site within the organisation to provide training services.

  • About the company

National Health Service (NHS) is the umbrella term for the publicly-funded healthcare systems of the United Kingdom (UK). The founding principles were that services should be comprehensive, universal and free at the point of delivery—a health service based on clinical need, not ability to pay. Each service provides a comprehensive range of health services, free at the point of use for people ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom apart from dental treatment and optical care.
