Lead complex initiatives on selected domains
Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk
Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost
Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies
Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature
Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
Mentor less experienced software engineers
Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
Lead team to achieve objectives
Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively
Develop and maintain trade processing, client allocations, trade reconciliation between clearing agencies, exchanges and our books & records systems
5+ years of Lead Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
5+ years of experience in Java, Spring Boot, JPA, Microservices, SQL and NoSQL
3+ year of experience in Capital Markets in transaction and trade processing
3+ years of experience with cloud technologies
5+ years of experience in messaging application such as either Apache Kafka, Solace or MQ
5+ years of Experience with SDLC and Agile tools such as JIRA, GitHub, Jenkins, or Confluence
4+ years of experience in Architecture and Design
2+ years working in OpenShift Container Platform
Knowledge and experience in AI tools such as CoPilot
Position offers a hybrid work schedule

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Java Specialty Engineer to join our Prime Services Clearing Technology Group within Capital Markets Technology. The ideal candidate will be responsible for full stack design and development by following engineering best practices. A successful applicant will help enhance, build, and deliver frameworks and business application micro services. Their primary responsibility will be to build clearing applications which connects to various exchanges NASDAQ, CBOE and clearing agencies such as NSCC, OCC and process high volume of trades as part of prime services and deploy to the cloud based highly scalable architecture.
