      The Role:

      The Lead Launch Electrical Coordinator is the key person to support the plant’s achievement of the Electrical First Time Quality (EFTQ) glidepath during vehicle program launch. This person will lead the Launch Electrical Team and be responsible for implementation of all Electrical Bill of Operations (BoO) elements. This role participates in the GM Automotive Manufacturing Electrical College (AMEC) for thorough training before launch activities begin

      What You'll Do: (Responsibilities):

      • Be a member of the plant’s Electrical Team - an integrated, technical organization consisting of members from Manufacturing, Quality, Supplier Quality and Product Development organizations focused on problem solving the plant’s top external and internal quality problems.
      • Take ownership of electrical processes for launching vehicle program, driving all electrical problems to resolution, including plant defects and engineering-related issues.
      • Lead the Launch Electrical Process Coordinator, Launch Electrical Wiring Coordinator, and Launch Electrical Diagnosticians
      • Ensure compliance to the Electrical Bill of Operations (BoO), particularly the Launch Aid standards covered in Launch Plan
      • Complete required training at various sites around GM and suppliers. (Travel is required in this role)
      • Participate in applicable launch activities such as virtual, prototype, and validation builds to support plant readiness
      • Host/support In-Plant Wiring Harness Assessments (WHA 4) and lead disconnect workshops during launch to develop database for repair faults
      • Effectively transfer key learnings to and from other Vehicle Intelligence Platform (VIP) launches at other GM facilities

      Additional Job Description

      Your Skills & Abilities: ( Required Qualifications):

      • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field or equivalent experience

      • 5+ years previous experience with automotive electrical sub-systems

      • Ability to work OT, weekends and Holidays as needed

      • Ability to work all shift (1st, 2nd & 3rd)

      • Strong written and oral communication skills, particularly to translate highly complex technical issues to non-technical people

      • Self-motivated and innovative

      • Strong analytical ability

      • Able to make decisions quickly with a high level of confidence

      • Ability to travel 60% of the time or higher based on business needs domestically and international.

      What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

      • Masters Degree in Engineering field or equivalent experience
      • 7+ years previous experience with automotive electrical sub-systems
      • Thorough working knowledge of GMS and supporting BIQ4 Deliverables
      • Previous experience leading/managing teams
      • Power BI knowledge
